John A. Muller
AIA, Principal
John muller became a California licensed architect in 1982. He opened his office in June of 1995 with a former business partner who has since retired. Since the inception of the firm, John has been sought after for over a thousand projects for his ability to navigate clients through the daunting planning & permitting process, his expertise in architecture & construction, and his people-oriented approach to all aspects of the process. His decades in the field have cultivated strong relationships with clients, consulting engineers, contractors, & city officials as well as an exceptional knowledge of interpreting and implementing code requirements into plans and projects.
John is a Cal Poly San Luis Obispo graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and is a member of the American Institute of Architects. Outside of work, he is a member of Kiwanis International, former President of the Camarillo Chapter, and was voted Kiwanian of the year. John gives generously to his community, peers, and family. In his spare time he enjoys cycling, snow skiing, hiking, golf, and motorcycling.
John F. Worthy
AIA, Principal Architect
John Worthy became a California licensed architect in 2002. He gained extensive expertise in numerous project types by working for several firms before creating his 20+ year legacy at what is now Muller Worthy Architects. He became a partner in 2019 after being recognized for his longstanding dedication, tremendous talent as a designer, and outstanding capabilities as an accomplished Architect. John is proud of creative design solutions with numerous design awards, having a passion to incorporate energy-efficient principles into his projects.
John is a Cal Poly San Luis Obispo graduate with a Bachelor of Architecture, is a member of the American Institute of Architects and former President of the Ventura County Chapter. Outside of work, he is a member of Ventura Missionary Church, and gives generously by volunteering at the local homeless shelter and being a mentor & volunteer counselor at a camp for foster kids. Family trips, playing tennis and surfing are other interests John greatly values in his personal time.
Jon W. Gambill
Associate AIA, Project Manager
Jon has worked at Muller Worthy Architects since obtaining his Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in June 2005 and as a college intern since January 2001. He is currently a candidate for the Architectural Registration Examination and brings to our firm his experience as a Project Manager in Cal Poly’s 2005 Solar Decathlon winning team.
The aspect of his job Jon enjoys most is bridging the gap between technology and reality, seeing a drawing or rendering become a true space or place people can enjoy and use.
Outside of work, he enjoys time with family, participation in AYSO soccer, attending classic car shows, cycling and other outdoor activities. He also takes pride in his extensive replica automobile collection and interests in automotive heritage.
Nicole M. Trautman
Associate AIA, Project Manager
Nicole brings 16+ years of architectural design and project management experience to the firm from both the East and West Coast. With a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, Nicole is currently a candidate for the Architectural Registration Examination which she is currently working towards.
Having owned a local franchise as well as pursued various other entrepreneurial endeavors, Nicole’s interest in business and experience in firm management contribute to the organizations’ internal processes to maximize efficiency, productivity and organization.
Outside of work, Nicole enjoys sailing, paddle boarding, kayaking, creative projects, music and spending time on the beach with her family.
Roula Maatouk
Intern
Roula, a recent graduate of Ventura Community College, is our current intern while also being a full-time student at Cuesta College with aspirations to go to Cal Poly like her fellow coworkers. She loves learning about the world of architecture and is constantly coming up with creative solutions.
Originally from Syria, she finds herself immersed in California culture. Roula takes every chance to experience new things and is constantly asking questions. With a newfound love of avocados, she's on the path to being a great future architect.
