John A. Muller, AIA, Principal has jointly led the firm since opening the office in June 1995. He is a licensed architect in California since 1982. John is a member of the American Institute of Architects. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
The aspect of his job John enjoys is directing a project from inception to occupancy. He especially enjoys working with the client, consulting engineers, city officials, and contractors throughout the building process.
Outside of work, he is a member of Kiwanis International, and former President of the Camarillo Chapter. John enjoys cycling, snow skiing, trail running, golf, and motorcycling.
John F. Worthy, AIA, LEED Green Associate, Director of Design has worked at Johnson + Muller Architects since September 2000. He is a licensed architect in California since 2002. John is a member of the American Institute of Architects and former President of the Ventura County Chapter. He earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
The aspect of his job John enjoys most is designing buildings that beautifully integrate client aspirations, context, code regulations, and structural integrity.
Outside of work, he is a member of Ventura Missionary Church, youth soccer referee, little league coach, and enjoys playing tennis, surfing, and family bicycle trips.
Jon W. Gambill, Associate has worked at Johnson + Muller Architects since obtaining his Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in June 2005 and as a college intern since January 2001. He is currently a candidate for the Architectural Registration Examination and brings to our firm his experience as a Project Manager in Cal Poly’s 2005 Solar Decathlon winning team.
The aspect of his job Jon enjoys most is bridging the gap between technology and reality, seeing a drawing or rendering become a true space or place people can enjoy and use.
Outside of work, he enjoys time with family, participation in AYSO soccer, attending classic car shows, cycling and other outdoor activities. He also takes pride in his extensive replica automobile collection and interests in automotive heritage.
